Hey! I'm Lee. I'm the creator of Cafayo. I work as a software engineer at a medium-sized pre-IPO startup in NYC. I've been working on this app on the side for a couple months.

I've always liked using forums for communicating. Being expected to use Slack, Zoom, etc. at work has not been my favorite form of tech "progression". So I decided to build Cafayo to make starting and running a forum simple.

Tech-wise, this is build using Ruby on Rails. I'm using Hotwire for some of the front-end interactions. It has been a delight to work with. It took a bit to wrap my brain around how to best use turbo frames.
